Teaching Assistant (Level 2)
to work at St John the Evangelist Infant & Nursery School
Fixed term contract until end of August 2027
Term time only, to start as soon as possible
14.25 hours per week (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, 8.45am to 12pm plus 1.45pm to 3.15pm)
Grade C scp 3 - 5 (£13.27 to £13.69 per hour) pro rata
The successful candidate will also be required to cover 3.75 hours lunch duty per week (12pm to 1.15pm Weds, Thurs & Fri) paid at Grade B scp 3 (£13.27 per hour) pro rata
We are seeking an enthusiastic, capable, hardworking and self-motivated teaching assistant to provide general classroom plus 1:1 support for specific SEN children.
The ability to build good working relationships with pupils and staff is key, as well as a willingness to learn and be flexible.

LUNCHTIME CONTROLLERS
To start September 2026
12pm to 1.15pm each day
Opportunities for either Monday to Friday or 2/3 days per week
Permanent, term time only contract
Grade B scp 3 (£13.27 per hour)
We are looking for caring, enthusiastic people to join our friendly and supportive team, to help create a safe, happy and enjoyable lunchtime experience for our pupils.
In this role you will
- Support and supervise children during lunchtime
- Help promote good behaviour and positive table manners
- Ensure children remain safe and engaged during lunch and playtime
- Encourage inclusive games and positive social interaction
- Support children in resolving minor disagreements and worries
- Respond to minor incidents and provide reassurance where needed

Nursery Nurse (Level 3)

Wednesday & Thursday, 8.30am to 12pm
Grade D scp 5 to 9
(£13.69 to £14.59 per hour)
We are looking for a skilled early years practitioner, to support the teaching and learning of our nursery children, in offering high quality early years education and care.
The ideal candidate will have completed a recognised Level 3 childcare qualification and will have previous experience of working with young children.
They will be caring and enthusiastic, hard-working and self-motivated. A sense of humour is also a must!
