St Nicolas C.E. Junior School
Information about St Nicolas School
Our School
St Nicolas School is the Junior School in our federation. It takes children from Year 3 to Year 6. Our Published Admissions Number is 64, meaning that we have 2 classes of 32 children in each year. Our teachers plan together, meaning that children have a consistency of provision across classes.
We teach a full curriculum with English and Maths skills at the heart of everything we do. All classes have a daily reading and spelling/handwriting lesson and all children follow our times tables scheme each day. In addition to this, there is a daily English and Maths lesson for each class and special time at the end of the day for a class novel.
Our broad and balanced curriculum includes Science, History, Geography, R.E., PSHE, P.E., Computing, Art and Design, Music, Design Technology, French and Daily Mile.
We aim to challenge every child to achieve their best and provide support and additional challenge wherever possible.
